Client portal software reviews

Reviews of the tools firms actually shortlist, built on published pricing and the criticisms that recur consistently across public review platforms. We publish no star ratings, run no affiliate links, and say plainly where a competitor is better than we are.

Disclosure: ClientBrief is a competing product. This review is based on each vendor's published pricing and documentation, and on themes that recur consistently across public review platforms — not on extended hands-on use of the product. We publish no star rating because we have no basis for one. Where a tool is better than ClientBrief for a job, this page says so.

How we write these

  • Pricing is checked at the source. Every figure comes from the vendor's own pricing page, dated. Several widely-cited numbers for these tools are two years out of date.
  • Criticism has to recur to count. A single angry review isn't a weakness. We report the themes that show up consistently across independent review platforms.
  • No star ratings. We haven't run a firm on these platforms for a year, so we have no basis for a score — and a competitor publishing ratings of rivals isn't worth much anyway.
  • We say when to buy the competitor. ClientBrief only does document collection. For anything wider, one of these tools is the right answer and the review says so.
